Home Career

Online learning is a great way to reinvent yourself. Learn from home a great career that can be done from home.  Virtual education has grown with leaps and bounds in the last few decades because of the affordability, convenience and wealth of information.  According to the National Center for Education (https://nces.ed.gov) Statistics about 5.4 million students take online classes.

Professionals can learn a new skill to enhance their career or even a whole new career on their computer from anywhere.

Freight Brokering and Medical Billing are the two most popular career courses, currently.  Each offer graduates with a viable career with great earning potential.

Fast Paced Freight Brokering

A Freight Broker negotiates between the carriers (truckers) and the distributors of products to get products moved across the country.   Many manufacturers have trucks to transport product yet still depend on freight brokers to help them get products moved during high seasons or for issues in their distribution chain.  Smaller manufacturers depend primarily on freight brokers to find trucks to move their products.  Most freight brokers specialize in certain types of freight.   In a freight broker training course students learn how to find freight, find carriers and develop a profitable business.  They learn the technologies needed to have the most successful freight brokerages. Most freight brokers start their career as an agent of an established freight broker.   Freight brokers can be their own boss by establishing their own freight brokerage. In class students learn the pros and cons of both routes.  Brooke Transportation Training has been training freight brokers for more than 3 decades.  Our online course allows students to learn anywhere.  The students have interaction with live trainers and benefit from ongoing support.

More than 850,000 practicing physicians in the United States rely on medical billers and coders to receive payment for their services and the demand is only growing.  Medical Terminology focuses on the language of medicine. Great Investment

Susie Moore (second from left) and her recent class of freight brokers

Every month I am so proud of my instructors as they train professionals how to break into freight brokering and how to succeed in the fast paced world of transportation.  Susie Moore is our instructor in Jacksonville, Florida.  She has a lifetime of experience in this world. Her father was an extremely successful freight broker, so she learned best practices from him.  She now trains other to find their way in the industry.  Here are testimonials from her February 2020 class.

I really enjoyed my experience with Brooke Training.  Ms. Susan was very detailed on all areas presented to our class.  She frequently asked questions and went back on tools to make sure, we as a class understood the process.  I am glad I had the opportunity to take this training with Brooke.  Thank you.

L. Brown 2/2020

My instructor, Mrs Susie was very knowledgeable and made learning a comfortable experience.  She made sure I understood material and explained in great detail.  Loved the class.

This has been a great investment into my future.  The instructor, Mrs. Moore is nothing less that great!  The information is broken down so that anyone can learn how to be an agent or broker.  She is a great source of information.

King of Freedom

Martin Luther King, Jr.

It is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, a Federal holiday.  Are you enjoying your day off?  Take some time today to reflect on the life of this one man who accomplished so much for his community and for America.  Reflect on the blessing it is to live in a country that recognized our mistakes and strives to build a better home for our children’s generation.  Reflect on how you can make a difference in your circle of influence. It is easy to live everyday for yourself.  It is a challenge to right the wrongs you see around you.

Martin Luther King, Jr. bravely challenged the segregation in our country.  The United States’ constitution echoes what  King proclaimed: all men are created equal.  King championed the rights he had preached, for these rights are in the Bible.  We all have rights and choices that should be ours to make.  America was founded on the idea of welcoming the underdog and giving them a chance to succeed.  MLK was a black pastor who answered the call when God nudged him to fight for civil rights of black Americans.  What he accomplished in his life took more courage than I can imagine.  He was arrested multiple times for what he did.  He was ultimately assassinated for speaking out and giving others the courage to fight for their rights.

Even heroes get arrested and sometimes pay the ultimate price.  Don’t shy away from taking a stand for the underdog and doing what’s right even when it is not the easy way.  In making a stand we can encourage others and find true fulfillment in our life.

Big time Thanks!!

Jeff and Janis Roach

Take time to think through the amazing blessings you have in your life.  Here are a few of mine:

I am very thankful that God's mercy is never ending.   I’m immensely blessed with a  classy, beautiful, kind and gracious wife.   She had no idea where life would take us when she said "I do".

She is in charge of getting our vets in for training.  She does her work with all her heart.  She and I love
our vets.  We want to thank them for serving our country by training them for a new career. We are thankful for every soul God entrusts to us.  We take that trust very seriously.

I am thankful for the family of people that work with us in this endeavor.  We all really love each other.  We have a motivated and inspiring group of instructors and recruiters. I am grateful for everyone that is a part of our team by helping our clients in many ways:  the brokers, trucking companies, and broker resources presenters.  I am especially thankful for Julie, Cindy, Ping and George (my team).

Expressing the magnitude of my gratitude for my parents and my girls is nearly impossible.   My dad is my best friend and my mom would give her life for me.  I’m thankful for my 3 daughters and 3 granddaughters.  They keep me smiling and  laughing and full of joy.

I have great mentors who have poured life into me for which I am very grateful.

Our mission is to educate and motivate the go getters and the go givers. We strive to make a positive difference, not for our glory but because we all need help, humility and grace (especially me).

I am humbled by the great life God has given me.  I know I don't deserve nor do I appreciate it as I should.

The American Dream through an Indian's Heart

Krish Dhanam, Brooke Training Guest Speak extraordinaire

I hope to improve our freight broker training courses, continually.  Years ago I met an amazing man from Southern India named Krish Dhanam.  He embodies the American dream, rags to riches, immigrant to outstanding and proud American citizen.  He inspired me greatly I knew he could be an inspiration to our freight broker students, so I ask him to come speak to our live classes whenever he can.
Here is a bit of Krish's biography:
Krish was born in Vizag in Andhra Pradesh and finished his formal education with an MBA at the Institute of Management Technology in Ghaziabad. Equipped with that learning he migrated to the US in 1986 with his bride Anila. Winning a sales contest in 1990 earned him a ticket to a seminar conducted by the legendary motivator Zig Ziglar.  This chance encounter would be the catalyst that shaped the next two decades as Krish joined the Ziglar Corporation in 1991 as a telemarketer and eventually became their Vice President of Global Operations.
Through training, teaching and facilitating seminars all over the world, Krish launched his professional speaking career. Krish has successfully delivered his message of hope, humor and balance in seventy countries on six continents.
As a curriculum designer he has authored programs on staff development, sales, leadership, personal development and communication. His client list is the who’s who of global enterprise and he has received accolades from some of the most distinguished organizations including The United States Army, American Airlines, Etihad Airways, Christian Dior, Marriott Hotels, Cadbury Schweppes, Hitachi Consulting, Ryan, EDS, Texas Instruments, Toshiba, Pepsico, Enterprise Rent a Car and Energizer Batteries, Apollo Hospitals and Cognizant and after today Netzsch.
Today’s he is CEO with Skylife Success, co-founder of Krish Dhanam Training and President of Mala Ministries and serves as a global adjunct with Ravi Zacharias. He is the author of The American Dream from an Indian Heart and From Abstracts to Absolutes and contributing author to the book Top Performance written by Zig Ziglar. His latest book Hard Headed and Soft Hearted was co-authored with Rick Belluzzo former President of Microsoft.
The Dhanam's make their home in Flower Mound, Texas.

I am very honored that Krish is willing to share some of his wisdom, humor and inspiration at our school.

I love My Mom!

Mom's are the best.  My mom is my best friend.  I have a great attitude in life because she has a great attitude about life.  Not because she has had an easy life but because she looks for the good in every day and in everyone.  She is in her 80s now and so full of thankfulness for all she has in life.  She grew up in an orphanage, has lived a simple but full life.  She met my dad in that orphanage.  They were "throw away" children yet grew into incredibly valuable people.  I owe my life to them, in more ways than one.  I asked my mom to make a list of her thankfulness.  This is what she typed up on her laptop (she is a high tech great granny):

Things I am thankful for:

Thankful for God allowing me another day
Thankful for God's love
Thankful for Christ Jesus who died for me
Thankful for being able to pray
Thankful for God's beautiful earth
for the birds that sing, trees, flowers, rain and for the sunshine
Thankful for my beloved husband
Thankful for a cool house in the summer and warm in the winter
Thankful for my wonderful children, all my grandchildren, and great grandchildren
Thankful for my church family
Thankful for the food we have
Thankful for my friends
Thankful for my neighbor Joe and his family
Thankful for my eyes able to read and study God's word and see God's beautiful world
Thankful for my ears so I can hear the bird's singing
Thankful for our car (which our son gave us)
Thankful for my bed to sleep in
Thankful for all my aches and pains (I know others are a lot worse off)
Thankful for the night's rest
Thankful for our country, may we always live in freedom

(I have posted this list before but I think it is worth repeating.)

Happy Mother's Day to my mom and to mom's everywhere.  They are the heart of our nation.

The American Dream

Recent Brooke Training Graduating Class
Krish Dhanam was our honored guest speaker at a recent Freight Broker Training course.  Krish is a transplant from India.  He came to America with nothing. He now is a highly successful and popular motivational speaker, trained by Zig Ziglar.  He values his family over work yet he has been a very successful businessman. He's living the American dream. He is very thankful for the opportunity he found to put in the work and find success.  He tells of his challenging move to America and finding his way to success in, An American Dream with an Indian Heart.

I am thankful that I met Krish years ago and we became friends. We at Brooke are honored when he comes and shares with our class. We have many transplants from other countries in America.  I find their stories amazing and inspirational.  They leave the known for the unknown in their journey to this land, unsure of their future yet they take that bold step. We live in a great county, not perfect, but great.  A great key to finding success and enjoying life, is thankfulness for what you have and for your capacity to improve.

At our school we teach a proven process for success as a freight broker, but the lessons our instructors impart have relevance in all of life.  Come join us for life lessons and learn the hows of freight brokering in the process.
