Skeptical ??

I get all sorts of questions all day.  Recently a lady text me and asked "what are you REALLY selling and what can I expect to get???

Well, thanks for asking.

Brooke Training is a legit deal...but it is not easy. You can expect to get a viable business with the potential to make a lot of money, so long as you work the process.  You own the business.  We promise to support you in many ways.

In order to be a success at freight brokering you have to build relationships with traffic managers of large and midsized corporations. We will teach you how to find them.  You also have to build solid relationships with truck drivers.  We will coach you on how to communicate with them.  As a freight broker or freight broker agent, you are the middle man between those two groups.  We teach you negotiating skills.

It won't cost you much or take long to get started as an agent.

Some of my friends are millionaires because they found their niche in this business.  We will teach you how to find a niche.

The great news is that it is your business.  You will be 100 percent responsible for your success.  We will give you a real life proven road map to follow.  We will introduce you to industry leaders.  Then it is up to you to put the newly learned skills to work.

All our instructors, including me, return phone calls.

If you have more questions, call or text.  I have been in this industry for over 3 decades and I've learned a few things along the way.

Moving forward,

Be The Boss

Freight Brokering, as an agent, is a real chance to own a franchise like business without paying the franchise fee. If you come to my school – you will be recruited by the industry leading Freight Brokers to become their agents and get the support you will need to get your business done. This is not a get quick rich scheme, it is an opportunity to have a real career with your own business.
If you have the  cash and want to build a brokerage and bring on 1000 agents, I can help you  with that too.  Our class will teach you how to own your own freight brokerage. I know how to do this because I’ve worked in the industry for over 20 years. I know what systems need to  be in place for an investor who wants to build a “non-asset business” with  extremely LOW fixed cost.
The freight broker business is  booming, a great investment opportunity.

I specialize in  helping companies grow their company as a part of the team. My passion is to create passive residual  revenue streams doing honest work. I love teaching others how to do it.
I love strategic alliances that are done on a handshake. Feel  free to contact me with all small business questions and concerns and  especially if you want me to help you on your project or if you want to help  mine.

I love to talk to entrepreneurs, investors, and venture capitalist.
Our mission is to educate and motivate the go getters and go  givers.

You can do this work from anywhere you have a computer and I will tell you now that our process works if you do. We are associated and do business with the top industry vendors, carriers, brokers, educators plus I will tell you what to do to reach your goals in this business. I have made a lot of good decisions and I have learned from my poor decisions. Let me earn you business. I will if given the chance.

Call me and get the straight skinny on whatever you need to or want to talk about. I will get to your call as soon as possible.
I will be offering more to my shippers and so will you if you come to my class.

Be Your Own Boss

Have you ever thought about being your own boss? As your own boss you can work hard and be a great success but it is all up to you.  As your own boss you can set yourself up for success by planning, training and finding mentors.

A freight broker and freight broker agent are their own boss.  Similar to a real estate agent, they can work as an independent or under a larger agency. I strongly recommend starting as a freight broker agent.  As an agent you are your own boss with a great support system in the brokerage you work through.   Most people choose to start in the freight brokering business as an agent working under the umbrella of a brokerage firm that is bonded and has brokerage authority.  A freight broker agent has less upfront costs that an independent freight broker.  As an agent you do not need a license or a bond.

What are the costs and additional requirements to be a broker or an agent?

TRAINING
I highly recommend training as the first requirement, your first expenditure.  Professionals who take advantage of training, start their career way ahead of those who try to figure it out on their own.  Brooke Transportation Training Solutions would love the opportunity to train you as a freight broker.

Complete training before you spend money on these other things because in training you will figure out your specific needs.

HOME OFFICE

Besides training, a freight broker agent will need to set up a home office with a computer with two screens, a 4 in 1 printer/scanner/fax/copier machine, a desk, chair, file cabinet and office supplies.

PHONE

A freight broker spends a lot of time on the phone.  So a great phone with a headset, unlimited long distance and high speed internet is essential.  I do a lot of business in my truck equipped with bluetooth handsfree phone service.

SOFTWARE

The software available to help in the workings of a freight broker is continually improving.  Subscriptions to software can cost $30 to $150 per month depending on how many services you choose to utilize.  Transportation Managment Software (TMS) and Loadboard software are essentials.

BROKER FEES

Some brokers (but not the majority) charge fees to the agent as a part of their internal business model for such things as marketing, advertising, training and usage of their systems.

LEGAL FEES

If you are going to be a broker you will need to choose a name for your logistics company then set up the legal structure of the company (such as a SCorp, LLC, or other) Your accountant or attorney can advise you on the best choice for your situation.  Fees are set by the professional you select.

BROKERAGE AUTHORITY

File for your brokerage authority with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety (FMCS).  The
Administration filing fee is $300. OP-1 form.  Once you've obtained your registration you'll file a biennial update form MC-150 (no cost).

PROCESS AGENT

One time fee usually $45 to $60.  Submit Form BOC-3 to the FMCS

BUSINESS REGISTRATION

Register your business through the Unified Carrier Registration system.  Current fee is $76 for brokers.

SURETY BOND

Brokers are required to obtain a surety bond or trust fund in the amount of $75,000. Ranges for the broker bond are generally $750 to $9000 depending on your credit situation. The bond is issued by an insurance company that offers freight broker bonds.  The trust fund is generally around $1500 per year and also requires collateral with a bank.

LOCAL REQUIREMENTS

Check with your state for particular requirements to operate a business in that state.

Does being your own boss in the exciting world of transportation peak your interest??

No Degree Required Career

Looking for a great career but you don't have a degree?  The transportation industry has fast paced career opportunities that don't require a degree.  Freight brokers help move products across the country by working with the carriers/truckers and the product distributors.  Freight Brokers often specialize in certain types of freight like automobiles, groceries or retail displays.

I have been in the freight brokering business for several decades.  I built a successful freight brokerage from the ground up. After years in the industry I decided to start a freight broker training school to pass on much of the knowledge I gained along the way.  I also have a great desire to mentor freight brokers who want to be professionals of high integrity.

This is an industry that is full of great potential for anyone who is willing to put in the work and be honest.  I believe that you may seem to win in the short run by cutting corners. But in the long run those who rise above and work with unquestionable ethics have the greatest gain.  They also sleep a lot better at night.

If you'd like a career that is demanding and rewarding give me a call.  I have freight broker training courses all over the country.  I love to consult with those in the business that need some advice.

Give me a call, no pressure, let's just talk about the possibility of a new future for you.

Be Your Own Boss

Would you like to be your own boss?  You can work from home or anywhere with a computer, phone and internet access as a freight broker or freight broker agent.  Being a freight broker agent is similar to being a real estate agent or an insurance broker.  As a freight broker agent you have the support of a larger agency while maintaining your own business.

Freight brokers are required by law to have a $75,000 bond so that if any of the loads you are brokering get lost or damaged you will have the money to cover the damages.  That bond money is one of the reasons many brokers work as agents rather than independents.  The "parent" freight brokerage will carry the bond for their independent broker agents.  Many of our students start out thinking they will open their own agency then during training change their mind.  We have many freight brokers who recruit from our school.  On resource Friday, the last day of class, several freight brokers come and present to our graduates.  Networking on Friday is always a highlight of the training.

A freight broker or freight broker agent works hard to land their first customers or shippers.  We teach our students a proven process for finding clients.  After an agent gains the trust of a few shippers they are set up to make an excellent income.  Shippers will continue to call on the freight broker with future shipments.  So a satisfied customer is the goal of each freight broker negotiation.

Transportation is an industry that is fast paced and exciting.  There is always a need for freight brokers because of our vibrant marketplace.  Come join us and learn the ins and outs of freight brokering.

Amazing Work from Home Career

Most people would love to work from home if they could find the right opportunity.  Freight Brokering or being a freight broker agent is just such an opportunity.  It is a great career with great earning potential for those who are willing to work hard.

Brooke Transportation Training Solutions has the best training for freight brokering.  We teach our students how to be a success in freight brokering.  We work with them on how to work from home.  This is really the best work from home occupation as far as the cost of education relative to how much you can really earn.

As a freight broker you are the middle man between those who have goods and those who need goods.  A freight broker negotiates with truckers/carriers and with the manufacturers to pick up goods, move the goods and deliver the goods.  A freight broker agent works under the authority of a parent company similar to the way an insurance agent or a real estate agent works under an umbrella company.

A freight broker is his or her own boss.  You are in charge of your own future.  The opportunity is incredible.
