One Man’s Dream

At age 15 Eric was involved in a horrific football accident. He experienced a severe spinal chord injury similar to Christopher Reeves. After the incident Eric lost all feeling from the neck down. Imagine waking up as a young athletic teen to find yourself unable to move. He could have given up on life, given up on his dreams but he didn’t.

Eric spent 4 grueling months in the hospital in 1989. Over the next year he worked at trying to make his body work. He learned to use the computer through blowing through a tube. Slowly over the next year he regained feeling in this limbs. He is not strong but he can now use the telephone and type on his computer. Eric is a determined man and a believer in the power of God.

He watched his father drive a truck most his life. His brother is a trucker so getting into the transportation industry is in his blood. He did a little research online and found Brooke’s Transportation Training. I had the privilege of talking to this courageous man. He has enrolled in Brooke Transportation Training’s online course through Gatlin Online Education.

He has a dream to help others in his community of Kentwood, Louisiana. He knows a lot of people who enjoy driving and just need a chance at success. He wants to help them by learning the transportation business and teaching others. As a freight broker he’ll be able to find loads for his brother and others to move across the country.

I’m planning on keeping up with Eric and sharing with you his success.

Moving forward,

Jeff Roach
